Santiago Temple

The Santiago Chile Temple was the first Mormon temple to be built on Spanish-speaking soil and the second to be built in South America. The temple serves roughly 540,000 Latter-day Saints in the vicinity.
Since its initial construction, there have been additions to the temple property including housing for patrons who come from the far reaches of Chile to stay in while they attend the temple.
And, something new for me to worry about:
SANTIAGO - CHILE, among the South American countries hardest hit by the swine flu, confirmed two new deaths from the virus, bringing the country's death toll from the outbreak to seven.

ANDES MOUNTAINS

Well Aaron just informed me that it's the ANDES mountains, not the Appellations. OPPS>>> I guess since no one reads this blog thats why nobody else caught that. He leaves October 7. Did you know you don't need a VISA to get into Chile? EVERYONE's welcome.

In case you were wondering where Santiago, Chile is, here is a map. He will be in North Santiago towards the Appalachian mountains

Aaron is not at work tomorrow. Will he respect his Mother enough to wait until I get home to open it?

5 More Days

We should get his mission call this Friday. 5 more days. And the best thing is Aaron has to work on Friday so there's no chance of him opening it before I get home. Hard to believe that this kid:

is going go look like
this kid:

In just a few months!!

OK..The Stake President is going to click the "ENTER" button by this Tuesday. That means it should be here on Friday, June 12, 2009. So the question is...do I take that day off work or trust him that he will wait until I get home to open it?

Papers going in tomorrow

Hi Everybody,

I decided to start a blog for Aaron's mission. His papers are going in tomorrow and I thought it would be a neat way to keep you all updated. Kathy and Jolinda should create a blog also being that Aaron, David and Mitch will all be out at the same time.

He applied for his passport today. Even though he may end up going to Boise, ID. Check back for more updates
